Xanthone

For a long time I have been thinking about building a windmill as you find them in the Netherlands. I started with a mockup months ago for trying out sizes and shape and it's been sitting there for well ... months. Two weeks ago I decided "enough is enough!". I opened Blender and started building. It took quite a few attempts .... building in Blender, uploading to the testgrid, trying it, testing it, going back to Blender to tweak and add the next part. I am very happy with the outcome and here it is .... Xanthone, a Dutch windmill!

Woad

I felt like a change for a while now and as you may have noticed I do like Asian influences so I decided to change my land from tropical island to more Japanese. Ofcourse that means a new house was needed so I started building what's now knows as Woad. Angled walls, diamond shaped rooms .... diamond shaped roofs (I didn't think that one through lol) ... it came out stunning! See for yourself ...

Revamp!

My shop has been around for about 3 years now and I felt like a change. I still love the colourscheme I chose so I'm sticking with that but I am changing the layout of everything else as well as a new name!

I have thought about a new name for a while. I have tried them out, checked for availability, with or without my name in it .... a long process! Then I remembered someone said to me once: that's so you! so ..... Bib! But I decided on something else :-)

Soooooooo ..... the new name and logo are .....

Viridian

I have been to Cuba for a holiday recently and have to admit that it is a strange country. I found it really hard to wrap my head around this communist/socialist way of life there. The schooling system is amazing and the fact that everyone has a roof over their head and has access to things like food is .... well .... great. You do see though that people that work their hineys off find it hard that they get exactly the same as people that don't work .... understandable I think.

Anyways, the trip was amazing and I'm glad I went before everything changes. And it also gave me some new inspiration as I saw some amazing houses over there. The barred windowboxes, the tiling, the colors! Wow ...

It lead to this ....
